Do you like friendship books that are funny and have a happy ending? Then this is a good book for you! People who just moved and are starting a new school can make a connection with one of the characters or you can also make a connection if you are the biggest dork in your school and don’t have any friends. This boy is completely new to the culture so it is really hard for him to fit in. Being laughed at school, and losing at sports when you were the best player at your old school, would be really hard to make friends. Your best friends moved and you have no other friends, it would be hard to go through the whole entire school year!
Joes had been having a really good time at his town just when his 2 best friends moved. It was the start of the school year, and what would he do without his two best and only friends? Now he would have no one to sit and talk to at lunch, no one to share what was wrong, and to share his struggles!
Ravi on the other hand just moved from India to America. He has to go to special reading classes with bigfoot? He was the top person at English at his old school, and now he has to eat lunch with the special reading teacher which is Miss Frost and has to miss out sharing a laugh with Dillon (who is ABCD) and hanging out with his other friends.
When Ravi finally gets to eat lunch with Dillon, he realizes that Dillon was actually being friends with Ravi because he can make him a dork and make him get laughed at!
